Maghnes Akliouche has publicly acknowledged Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in securing his services, adding fuel to speculation linking the AS Monaco winger with a move to the French capital. Speaking to Le Figaro, Akliouche stated that it was “flattering” for the “biggest club in the world” to be interested in him, though he reiterated his focus on performing well for Monaco and representing France at the upcoming World Cup.
Akliouche has emerged as a key player for Monaco in recent seasons, contributing both goals and assists from a wide position. The 21-year-old has earned 10 caps for the French national team, scoring one goal. He is currently under contract with Monaco until June 2028, giving the club a strong negotiating position.
According to reports, PSG previously expressed interest in Akliouche last season, reportedly offering a fee of €70 million for his transfer. However, Monaco rejected the offer, valuing the player higher. The potential departures of Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan and Lee Kang-in from PSG could create space in Luis Enrique’s squad and potentially prompt a renewed bid for Akliouche.
PSG’s interest in Akliouche aligns with their strategy of bolstering their attacking options with young, dynamic players. Akliouche’s pace, dribbling ability, and eye for goal would make him a valuable asset to the Parisian side. For Monaco, a sale could generate significant funds and allow them to reinvest in other areas of the squad. The increased stature of the player in recent weeks may command a higher transfer fee than previously offered. Akliouche himself emphasized his immediate priority is a successful World Cup campaign, but did not dismiss the possibility of a move to PSG in the future.
