Al Hilal have initiated discussions with the representatives of Luis Díaz regarding a potential transfer from Bayern Munich, according to reports from transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri. The Saudi Pro League club are prepared to offer the Colombian international an annual salary of €25 million as they attempt to secure his services.
Should an agreement be reached with Díaz’s camp, Al Hilal are expected to submit a formal bid to Bayern Munich, reportedly valued at up to €132 million for the winger. This substantial offer reflects the Saudi club’s ambition to continue attracting high-profile players to the Pro League.
Díaz moved to Bayern Munich from Liverpool last summer for a reported fee of approximately €70 million, signing a contract that extends until 2029. The transfer followed a successful spell at Liverpool, where he quickly became a fan favourite with his dynamic play and goal-scoring ability.
The 29-year-old has made a significant impact during his debut season with Bayern, establishing himself as a crucial component of Vincent Kompany’s team. Díaz has registered an impressive 26 goals and 23 assists in 51 appearances across all competitions, demonstrating his attacking prowess and versatility. His performances have solidified his position as one of the Bundesliga’s standout players.
Al Hilal’s pursuit of Díaz comes as part of a broader strategy by Saudi clubs to bolster their squads with established international talent. The Saudi Pro League has attracted several high-profile players in recent seasons, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Karim Benzema, and continues to invest heavily in improving the quality of its competition. Díaz’s potential arrival would further enhance Al Hilal’s attacking options and strengthen their position as a leading force in Saudi Arabian football. The transfer could also open up space in Bayern’s squad and allow Kompany to pursue alternative targets during the summer window.
