Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are both interested in signing Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, according to sources at TEAMtalk. The potential pursuit of the 19-year-old could lead to a transfer battle between the two Champions League finalists.
Kroupi joined Bournemouth from Lorient in January for a reported £12 million and has quickly become a key player for the Cherries, scoring 13 Premier League goals – the most by any teenager in their debut season. His performances, including a crucial strike against Manchester City, have drawn praise for his finishing, movement, and composure.
Arsenal are reportedly considering Kroupi as a potential addition to their attack under Mikel Arteta, while PSG, managed by Luis Enrique, are seeking to bolster their forward line after a successful European campaign and have previously monitored the player during his time in France. Both clubs view him as a valuable long-term prospect.
Bournemouth, now under new manager Marco Rose, are determined to retain their key players. Club officials have indicated they are unwilling to sell Kroupi this summer, considering him integral to their project. With a contract extending until 2030, any potential suitor would likely need to offer a substantial fee, estimated to be between £80-100 million.
Despite his contentment at the Vitality Stadium and enjoying regular first-team football, Kroupi may be tempted by the opportunity to play Champions League football and compete at the highest level with either Arsenal or PSG. The Gunners are looking for competition for Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, while PSG are considering potential replacements for Goncalo Ramos.
Manchester City have also expressed interest, with sporting director Hugo Viana reportedly holding discussions with Kroupi’s representatives. However, Bournemouth’s strong stance and Kroupi’s current contract position suggest it will be difficult to prise him away from the south coast. Holding onto the young striker would be a significant statement of ambition for Bournemouth, particularly after qualifying for the Europa League.
