Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have all expressed interest in Arsenal defender William Saliba, but the Gunners are reportedly demanding a fee of at least €150 million for the France international. Saliba’s contract at the Emirates Stadium doesn’t expire until 2030, giving Arsenal a strong negotiating position, and the club currently anticipates he will remain with them beyond this summer.
Arsenal are also pursuing Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, with a first bid of €64 million (£55m) already rejected. Former Newcastle midfielder Jermaine Jenas believes Guimaraes would immediately improve Mikel Arteta’s side, stating he “walks” into the starting XI. Jenas suggested Newcastle may demand a fee in the region of £115-135 million, citing recent transfers like Sandro Tonali, and the club’s current financial situation.
Further complicating Arsenal’s transfer business, Aston Villa have placed a €152 million (£130m) price tag on winger Morgan Rogers, who is identified as a primary target for the Gunners. Villa may be forced to sell high-value players to comply with UEFA’s financial regulations, but will be reluctant to part with Rogers.
Additionally, Arsenal are monitoring Aston Villa centre-back Ezri Konsa, prompting Villa to consider opening contract extension talks to secure his future. The Gunners have also entered the race to sign West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville, alongside Manchester United, following the sale of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas. Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga could also be on the move, with Arsenal prepared to allow him to leave if his €5.9 million (£5m) release clause is met, attracting interest from clubs in Italy and Spain.
