Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has identified Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers as a priority target this summer, according to TEAMtalk. The Gunners are reportedly prepared to offer in excess of €100 million to secure Rogers’ signature, viewing him as a long-term solution for the left wing position. While Aston Villa are currently unwilling to sell, Arsenal believe a deal remains “achievable” with the right offer, and Rogers himself is said to be keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Rogers, 21, joined Aston Villa from Middlesbrough in January 2024 and quickly established himself as a key player under Unai Emery, contributing significantly to their push for European qualification. He finished the 2025-26 season with 8 goals and 10 assists across all competitions, showcasing his versatility and attacking threat. Arteta’s pursuit of Rogers suggests a desire to add more dynamism and goal-scoring ability to Arsenal’s forward line.
Arsenal are also heavily involved in the race to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille, facing competition from Chelsea, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain. Former Marseille director Medhi Benatia has labelled the 18-year-old a “generational talent” already worth €100 million, praising his maturity, tactical intelligence, and personality. Benatia stated to Gazzetta dello Sport that Bouaddi possesses qualities rarely seen in players of his age, suggesting he is unlikely to move to Italy due to his high valuation.
Meanwhile, PSG’s potential signings of Yan Diomande and Maghnes Akliouche could lead to Bradley Barcola becoming available. Foot Mercato reports that PSG may allow Barcola to depart if they successfully bring in the two targets, as the France international has yet to agree to a contract extension. This development has alerted both Arsenal and Liverpool, who have previously shown interest in the 21-year-old winger.
In a setback for Arsenal, PSG U18s captain Emmanuel Mbemba has rejected a move to the club, opting instead to join AS Monaco, as reported by L'Equipe. The 18-year-old centre-back will sign his first professional contract with Monaco, seeking regular first-team football. Despite Arsenal’s strong interest, Mbemba has chosen a different path to progress his career.
