Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola is reportedly eager to join Liverpool this summer, with the player informing PSG of his desire to leave. According to reports from Le10Sport, the 23-year-old is ‘thrilled by the prospect’ of a move to Anfield and is excited by the opportunity to play in the Premier League.
Liverpool have already secured the signing of Victor Munoz from Osasuna, but co-owners Fenway Sports Group are believed to be pursuing further attacking reinforcements. Barcola has emerged as a top target for the Reds, with the club renewing their efforts to recruit him after initial interest last year.
Barcola has enjoyed a successful spell at PSG, winning Ligue 1 three times and the Champions League twice. However, sources indicate that he feels his role has diminished within the team, particularly with the arrival of players like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, and Ousmane Dembele. TEAMtalk’s transfer insider, Graeme Bailey, reports that Barcola was disappointed not to feature in the starting lineup during PSG’s Champions League semi-final and final, leading him to believe his playing time will be limited.
The winger’s potential arrival at Liverpool would provide manager Andoni Iraola with another attacking option, potentially filling a void left by departures or adding depth to the squad. Barcola’s pace and dribbling ability could prove valuable in the Premier League, and his experience in the Champions League would be a significant asset. A move to Liverpool could offer Barcola the consistent playing time he desires, allowing him to further develop his potential and contribute to a new project.
