Bayern Munich have recently engaged in discussions with the father of Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović, according to a report from Corriere dello Sport. The talks reportedly took place within the last few days, though the specific details and outcome of the meeting remain undisclosed.
This development arrives amid reports in Italy that contract extension negotiations between Vlahović and Juventus have reached an impasse. The 24-year-old forward is reportedly pausing discussions with the Turin club, awaiting potential offers from Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona, both of whom are seeking to bolster their attacking options.
Juventus have reportedly established a deadline of the end of May to resolve Vlahović’s future. The Serbia international joined Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022 for a fee of €70 million, and has since scored 28 goals in 72 appearances across all competitions for the Old Lady. While a consistent goalscorer, Vlahović’s form has fluctuated this season, with 16 goals in 37 appearances, and his future at the club appears increasingly uncertain.
Bayern Munich are expected to pursue at least one new forward in the upcoming transfer window. Nicolas Jackson is set to return to Chelsea at the conclusion of his loan spell, leaving a void in the Bavarian attack. While Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon has been prominently linked with a move to the Allianz Arena, the club appears to be exploring alternative options, with Vlahović now emerging as a potential target.
The potential acquisition of Vlahović would provide Bayern with a proven goalscorer and a physical presence in attack. Should he become available, a move for the Serbian could significantly strengthen Bayern’s attacking line as they look to compete on multiple fronts next season.
