Gleison Bremer’s future at Juventus is increasingly uncertain, with Bayern Munich emerging as a potential destination alongside interest from Premier League clubs, according to reports in the Italian media. Juventus director Damien Comolli recently stated the club may need to sell a key player to offset financial losses resulting from failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Bremer, a Brazilian centre-back, has been identified as a possible departure, despite manager Luciano Spalletti considering him an important part of the squad. However, his defensive style doesn’t always align with Spalletti’s tactical preferences. The club also views a sale as financially beneficial, given Bremer’s relatively high wages of €6 million per year including bonuses.
The potential move to Bayern Munich could be linked to a possible loan deal for Kim Min-jae, currently at Bayern, who Spalletti previously managed. Juventus are reportedly keen on bringing the South Korean defender to Turin on loan, and Bremer’s transfer to Germany could facilitate this arrangement. Discussions between the clubs have already begun, according to sources.
Bremer joined Juventus in 2022 from Torino and quickly established himself as a key player in the team, though he recently expressed a desire to win trophies, a feat that has eluded him with the Turin club. His upcoming participation in the World Cup with Brazil offers a platform to further showcase his abilities and potentially attract more offers. Juventus value Bremer at around €40 million and hold significant negotiating power due to his contract, which runs until 2029. The possibility of Bremer leaving Juventus represents a shift in plans for the club, and a slight disappointment given his relatively short tenure and initial promise.
