FC Bayern Munich have announced a contract extension for 17-year-old forward Erblin Osmani, though the length of the new deal has not been disclosed by the club. The extension secures Osmani’s future with the Bavarian giants, with the contract automatically transitioning to a fully professional agreement when he reaches the age of 18.
Osmani initially joined Bayern’s youth academy in 2017, progressing through each age group since arriving from TSV Milbertshofen’s under-9 team. His development within the club’s famed youth system culminated in a first-team debut earlier this year.
He was included in the matchday squad by manager Vincent Kompany for the Bundesliga fixture against Union Berlin in March, making his senior appearance in a 4-0 victory at the Allianz Arena. Prior to his Bundesliga debut, Osmani was featuring regularly for both Bayern’s under-17 and under-19 teams last season, demonstrating his versatility and potential.
The club intends for Osmani to continue his development primarily with the under-19s in the upcoming season, providing him with consistent playing time and opportunities to refine his skills. Jochen Sauer, Bayern’s Director of Youth Development, highlighted Osmani’s local roots and the club’s faith in his future. “Erblin is a native of Munich and a true FC Bayern homegrown talent,” Sauer stated. “He has already made his debut with our first team and we are convinced of his further development potential. We are delighted that Erblin will also take the next steps with us.”
The extension of Osmani’s contract represents Bayern’s commitment to nurturing young talent from within their academy, a strategy that has produced numerous first-team players in recent years. This move ensures the club retains a promising young player who has already demonstrated the ability to contribute at the senior level, potentially providing a future attacking option for Kompany's squad.
