Inter defender Yann Bisseck is attracting attention from Bayern Munich, according to reports in Germany. The 23-year-old centre-back recently concluded a successful season with Inter, winning two trophies and scoring three goals in 36 appearances, but was not included in Germany’s squad for the upcoming World Cup.
Bisseck joined Inter in 2022 after a pair of strong seasons in Denmark, identified by sporting director Piero Ausilio. He quickly became a key figure under coach Cristian Chivu, primarily deployed as a right-sided centre-back, particularly in the latter half of the season. Chivu appreciated Bisseck’s ability to maintain a high defensive line and his tendency to make overlapping runs on the right flank, contributing to build-up play and creating attacking opportunities. His performances have led to an estimated valuation of €50 million, as per Transfermarkt.
Bisseck recently changed representation, signing with agent Giovanni Branchini, and this has coincided with increased interest from the Bundesliga. Bild reports that Bayern Munich has added Bisseck to their list of potential targets, potentially willing to invest significantly to secure his services. However, Bayern must first address their existing defensive options, potentially through the sale of Kim Min-jae, who had a mixed season with the club.
Inter officials have expressed strong confidence in Bisseck, with his contract running until 2029. However, the club is reportedly open to considering offers of the right magnitude. The Nerazzurri are currently planning for the upcoming season, with players expected back at the training ground in Appiano Gentile in mid-July, followed by a ten-day training camp in Germany, Bisseck’s home country. A potential sale could provide Inter with significant funds for further squad strengthening.
