Bayern Munich have initiated discussions with Gambinos Stars regarding a permanent transfer for midfielder Bara Sapoko Ndiaye, according to Sky Germany. The 18-year-old spent the latter half of last season on loan with the Bundesliga champions, making four appearances for the first team. The club are now aiming to secure his services on a long-term contract.
Ndiaye’s performances during his loan spell evidently impressed Bayern’s coaching staff, prompting them to pursue a permanent deal. While Bayern maintain a pre-existing partnership with Gambinos Stars, the transfer is not anticipated to be a formality. Other clubs have also registered their interest in the Senegal international, creating potential competition for his signature.
Despite attracting attention from elsewhere, Ndiaye is reportedly favouring a continued stay at the Allianz Arena. This preference could be a significant factor in Bayern’s favour as they attempt to finalize the transfer. The midfielder joined Gambinos Stars’ youth setup and quickly progressed, earning a loan opportunity with one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Bayern Munich are currently in a period of transition, with a focus on integrating young talent into the squad alongside established stars. Securing Ndiaye's signature would align with this strategy, providing depth and potential in the central midfield position. The transfer would represent a further strengthening of the club's ties with Gambian football, building on their existing partnership with Gambinos Stars. The fee for the transfer has not yet been disclosed.
