Bayern Munich are preparing a significant contract extension for Michael Olise, aiming to ward off interest from Paris Saint-Germain and other top European clubs, according to TEAMtalk. The French international has become a key figure for the German champions since joining from Crystal Palace in 2024.
Olise has enjoyed a prolific 2025/26 campaign, contributing an impressive 21 goals and 30 assists in 48 games across all competitions. This form has naturally attracted attention from several of Europe’s elite, including PSG, Liverpool, and even his former suitors Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City. However, Bayern have consistently rebuffed all inquiries, making it clear they have no intention of selling the 24-year-old.
Sources indicate that PSG recently tested the waters regarding Olise’s availability, but were met with the same firm response as previous approaches. Bayern’s stance is rooted in a club policy established in 2009, where they decided against selling players deemed irreplaceable on the pitch, as highlighted by former CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. He recounted a similar situation with Franck Ribéry, emphasizing the club’s commitment to retaining key talent.
While Olise currently has three years remaining on his existing contract, Bayern are keen to secure his long-term future at the Allianz Arena. Formal negotiations have not yet begun, but the club has communicated its intentions to both the player’s representatives and potential suitors. There is also reported interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona, though any move from those clubs is likely to be delayed until at least 2027.
Despite speculation linking Olise with a potential return to the Premier League, with some reports suggesting Liverpool could offer £120 million for his services, Bayern remain resolute in their position. The player himself is reportedly settled in Munich and focused on continuing his development with the club. This commitment from both sides suggests Olise will remain a central figure for Bayern for the foreseeable future.
