Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have all registered their interest in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha, according to Sport Bild. The 25-year-old has attracted attention following a series of strong performances, most recently with the German national team. While no formal bids have been made, representatives from each of the four clubs have reportedly made contact with Nmecha’s camp to discuss a potential summer move.
Nmecha joined Borussia Dortmund in 2021 from Wolfsburg, and has become a key component of the Dortmund midfield. He has featured in 29 Bundesliga matches this season, contributing with three goals and six assists. His versatility, capable of playing as a holding midfielder or in a more advanced role, is a significant factor in the growing interest from top clubs across Europe.
Borussia Dortmund are currently under no immediate pressure to sell Nmecha, with his contract extending until 2030. The club also benefits from a tiered release clause structure, which does not activate until 2027. Sport Bild reports the release clause is set at €80 million from 2027, decreasing to €70 million in 2028. However, the report suggests that an offer in the region of €100 million this summer could tempt Dortmund to consider a sale.
Real Madrid have also been linked with an interest in Nmecha, further intensifying the competition for his signature. Each of the English clubs mentioned possess different midfield needs heading into the summer transfer window. Manchester United are expected to bolster their midfield options following a season of inconsistency, while Manchester City and Liverpool will be looking to refresh their squads and maintain their dominance. Bayern Munich, meanwhile, are consistently in the market for top talent to strengthen their Bundesliga title-winning side.
Should Nmecha become available, a bidding war between these European giants is anticipated. His age and proven ability suggest he could become a long-term asset for any club that secures his services, providing both defensive stability and attacking impetus in midfield.
