Besiktas are reportedly interested in signing three Juventus players – Arthur Melo, Michele Di Gregorio, and Dusan Vlahovic – as the Turkish club looks to bolster its squad during the transfer window. The Super Lig is increasingly becoming a destination for players departing top European clubs, similar to the growing trend of players moving to Saudi Arabia, though on a different scale.
Alongside Vlahovic, who is a free agent, Arthur has emerged as a potential target for Besiktas. The Brazilian midfielder recently returned from a loan spell at Gremio but is not part of Juventus’ plans and could be available on a free transfer, allowing the Italian club to offload a costly and unproductive asset. Vincenzo Italiano, the current manager of Besiktas, previously coached Arthur during the 2023-2024 season at Fiorentina and is keen on reuniting with him in Turkey.
Goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio is also on Besiktas’ radar, but his €15 million price tag is proving to be a stumbling block. The club is hesitant to meet that valuation, and as a result, Alexander Nubel of Bayern Munich remains the preferred option. Juventus themselves previously showed interest in Nubel, adding another layer to the potential transfer dealings.
Douglas Luiz, another midfielder, was considered but did not generate sufficient interest from Besiktas. The focus remains on securing Arthur, potentially as a free transfer, and exploring a deal for either Di Gregorio or Nubel in goal. Besiktas have reportedly offered Vlahovic a significant package including €5 million in signing bonuses, demonstrating their ambition to attract high-profile players. These moves signal a proactive summer transfer window for Besiktas as they aim to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level in Turkish football. The potential departures of these players could also free up resources for Juventus as they navigate their own transfer strategy.
