Jérémie Boga has signed a contract with Juventus until 2029, with the Italian club exercising their option to buy the Ivorian winger from OGC Nice for a fee of €4.8 million, plus up to €800,000 in potential bonuses. The move brings an end to Boga’s spell in Nice, which began in the summer of 2023, and secures his future in Turin following a successful loan period.
Boga initially joined Juventus on a free loan in January 2026, with the club covering his wages, after a period of leave following incidents with supporters at Nice. The 29-year-old had been subjected to criticism from a section of Nice fans following a 3-1 defeat to Lorient in November, alongside Terem Moffi and sporting director Florian Maurice. He quickly established himself as a valuable member of the Juventus squad, scoring four goals in 17 appearances.
Prior to his move to Italy, Boga had made a significant impact for Nice, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists in 73 games across all competitions. Nice had originally signed the Marseille-born player in 2023 for a reported €18 million, plus €2 million in add-ons. The winger’s departure represents a loss for the French club, but the fee represents a return on investment after a relatively short period.
An Ivory Coast international with 24 caps and one goal, Boga was not included in Émerse Faé’s squad for the recent World Cup. Despite this, his performances for Juventus have demonstrated his quality and potential. The permanent transfer provides Juventus with a dynamic attacking option and solidifies their squad depth as they continue to compete in Serie A. Boga will be hoping to become a key player for the club in the coming seasons, building on the positive impression he made during his loan spell.
