Juventus are exploring potential deals to bolster their squad in the upcoming transfer window, with both defensive and goalkeeping positions identified as priorities according to reports in Italy. The club is also under pressure to generate funds through player sales following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Negotiations are ongoing with several clubs, including Atletico Madrid regarding players such as Alexander Sorloth, Nico Gonzalez, and Jose Gimenez. However, a new dialogue has opened with Tottenham Hotspur, centering around Juventus defender Gleison Bremer. Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly keen on acquiring Bremer, having previously observed the player during his time at Sassuolo.
Bremer, 29, is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League and a potential opportunity to compete at a higher level. Juventus have set a release clause of €58 million for the Brazilian centre-back, valid between July 1st and August 10th. Bremer himself is said to be intrigued by the prospect of working with De Zerbi.
To facilitate the deal and potentially lower the financial outlay, Tottenham are offering goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario as part of the negotiation. Vicario, who joined Tottenham last summer, is reportedly eager to return to Italy, with Inter Milan having previously shown interest before opting for a different target. Tottenham are currently seeking €20 million for the Italian shot-stopper, and are not inclined to loan him out. Juventus are currently evaluating Vicario alongside other goalkeeping options, including Aston Villa’s Dibu Martinez, following the collapse of a potential deal for Alisson Becker.
Further discussions between the two clubs have also included preliminary inquiries regarding Jonathan David and Destiny Udogie, though the primary focus remains on a potential Bremer-Vicario exchange. Both Juventus and Tottenham are aiming to secure the best possible terms as they navigate a financially constrained summer transfer window. The inclusion of Vicario in the deal for Bremer is becoming increasingly appealing as talks for Martinez progress.
