Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is reportedly keen on bringing Juventus winger Francisco Conceicao to Old Trafford, according to Italian outlet TuttoJuve. United have already secured five signings this summer – Karl Darlow, Kit Margetson, Andrey Santos, Tynan Thompson and Youri Tielemans – and Carrick is now looking to further bolster his squad ahead of their Champions League campaign.
Conceicao, a 23-year-old Portugal international, primarily plays on the right flank and enjoyed a productive 2025/26 season with Juventus, scoring four goals and providing five assists in 42 appearances across all competitions. TuttoJuve reports that Carrick views Conceicao as an ideal fit for his project, specifically praising his dribbling ability, creativity, and versatility to play on either wing.
Juventus, however, are reluctant to sell the player, who is under contract until 2030. The Turin club values Conceicao at approximately €50 million (£43m, $57.4m), viewing any offer below that figure as insufficient. They consider him a key component of manager Luciano Spalletti’s plans and have not included him in their list of potential departures this transfer window.
According to the report, Juventus would only consider a sale if United were to present a “truly unmarketable offer.” The club believes Conceicao’s value has increased since his acquisition and would seek a significant capital gain from any transfer. While United’s co-owners, INEOS, are reportedly supportive of strengthening the attack alongside Benjamin Sesko, they will need to meet Juventus’s valuation to secure the Portuguese winger. A successful move for Conceicao would add further attacking depth to Carrick’s squad and provide competition for existing wide players.
