Chelsea have signed forward Morgan Rogers from an undisclosed club for a reported fee of €137 million, a sum that places it among the five largest transfers in the club’s history. The transfer was confirmed as the Blues continue their pre-season preparations in Australia.
New Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, stating, according to sources, that Rogers was a crucial addition to the squad. Alonso highlighted a need for reinforcement in that position and believes Rogers represents one of the best available options. The Spaniard emphasized the importance of bringing in players with Premier League experience, noting that Rogers and the soon-to-be-confirmed Maxence Lacroix combine for 155 top-flight appearances.
