Juventus forward Jonathan David is attracting interest from Paris FC as the Turin club seeks to offload the Canadian international, according to reports in Italy. David, who earns €6 million plus €2 million in bonuses annually with a contract extending to 2030, has become surplus to requirements at Juventus.
Despite scoring three goals at the recent World Cup, all of which came in a single match against Qatar, David’s overall performance in the tournament was considered underwhelming and failed to significantly boost his market value. This has led Juventus to anticipate a limited number of offers for the 2000-born striker.
A potential move to the Turkish Super Lig with Trabzonspor recently fell through, as David reportedly found the league unattractive and below his expectations. The player is now linked with a return to Ligue 1, where he previously excelled with Lille.
Paris FC have reportedly begun asking about David’s availability, with an intermediary proposing the move to the French club’s leadership. Initial responses from Paris FC have been positive, suggesting a willingness to explore a deal. Juventus are hoping to receive between €20-30 million for David, aiming to generate a profit on a player who has not met expectations since his arrival.
Juventus are also considering a loan deal for Lois Openda, with Lens among the clubs to have expressed interest, though they would require assistance with the Belgian’s wages. The situation with David suggests Juventus are actively reshaping their attacking options ahead of the next season.
