Inter Executives Attend Real Madrid Legends Match Presentation
Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta, accompanied by club legends Javier Zanetti, Francesco Toldo, and Esteban Cambiasso, attended the presentation event for the 13th Corazón Classic Match in Madrid on Wednesday. The charity game between legends of Real Madrid and Inter will be played at the Santiago Bernabéu on June 13. The event, held in a packed hall at the stadium, also featured former Inter players Roberto Carlos and Santiago Solari, alongside Real Madrid icons such as Santillana, Francisco Buyo, and Marcelo.
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez highlighted the strong bond between the two clubs during the presentation. He noted that Inter will be the first team to participate in the charity match for a second time, a fixture dedicated to supporting children and young people in need. Pérez also referenced the stadium's significance for Inter, recalling their third Champions League triumph there in May 2010.
Marotta, who traveled to Madrid ahead of Inter's Serie A match against Cagliari this weekend, emphasized the shared social values behind the event. According to his remarks at the presentation, he stated that both clubs have a responsibility to use football's unifying power to show solidarity and provide concrete help to vulnerable youth. He expressed hope for a full stadium in June to bring joy and hope to future generations.
The Corazón Classic Match is noted for its accessible ticket prices, ranging from 9 to 25 euros, with organizers expecting a capacity crowd. The encounter continues a tradition of high-profile charity games that leverage the historic rivalry and mutual respect between the European giants. The visit by Inter's current CEO and former stars underscores the ongoing institutional relationship between Inter and Real Madrid, which extends beyond competitive fixtures into collaborative social initiatives.
