Arsenal are reportedly considering a summer move for Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with some observers, including Premier League legend Steven Gerrard, calling him “the best winger in the world.” The Gunners are preparing for another active transfer window following a significant net spend last summer which saw the arrival of players like Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, and Martin Zubimendi.
Arsenal are currently competing for both the Premier League and Champions League titles, and are expected to provide manager Mikel Arteta with further financial backing to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2026-27 season. The club has previously identified targets in multiple positions, including a full-back, central midfielder, and forward, with Valentino Livramento of Newcastle United, Sandro Tonali, and Anthony Gordon all mentioned as potential acquisitions.
Sky Sports have now confirmed that Kvaratskhelia is on Arsenal’s shortlist as they seek to add a new left winger to their ranks. The Georgian international has three years remaining on his contract with PSG and is currently aiming to win a second consecutive Champions League trophy with the Parisian side, having helped them reach the final against Bayern Munich.
Kvaratskhelia has enjoyed a prolific Champions League campaign, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 15 appearances. He is being considered alongside Gordon and Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez as potential reinforcements for Arteta’s squad. However, any potential deal will be complicated by PSG’s likely reluctance to sell a key player. Gerrard recently lauded Kvaratskhelia’s all-around game, praising his power, dribbling ability, work rate, and defensive contributions to TNT Sports, stating he is currently the best winger in the world.
Arsenal’s pursuit of Kvaratskhelia signals their ambition to continue strengthening their squad and compete at the highest level, though securing his signature will prove a significant challenge given his current status at PSG.
