The interest in Vinicius Jr comes as Real Madrid consider selling the Brazilian international, despite his status as one of the world’s best wingers. The club are reportedly hesitant to allow him to leave on a free transfer as his current contract nears its expiration, and negotiations for an extension have stalled. This situation has opened the door for Arsenal to express their interest.
Real Madrid’s potential acquisition of Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig is a key factor in their willingness to consider offers for Vinicius Jr. Los Blancos have already seen a €100m bid rejected for the 19-year-old winger, but are preparing a second bid of €120m. Diomande’s impending arrival would provide Real Madrid with another attacking option, making the sale of Vinicius Jr more palatable.
