Chelsea are considering a summer move for West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville, according to reports in Italy. The Blues are seeking to add a versatile attacker to their squad ahead of the 2026-27 Premier League season, and Summerville has emerged as a potential option.
Chelsea have also been linked with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, however, the England international carries a significantly higher valuation of €152 million (£130m). Il Resto del Carlino reports that Chelsea are evaluating Summerville as a more affordable alternative, alongside Bologna’s Jonathan Rowe and Sporting CP’s Francisco Trincao.
Manchester United are also reportedly interested in Summerville following West Ham’s relegation to the Championship. The 24-year-old was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing 2025-26 season for the Hammers, scoring seven goals under manager Nuno Espirito Santo. He further enhanced his reputation with two goals and two assists in four appearances for the Netherlands at the recent World Cup.
Valued at approximately €58 million (£50m), Summerville previously played for Leeds United and has also attracted interest from Liverpool. Chelsea have already strengthened their defense with the signing of Marco Palestra from Atalanta, the Serie A Best Defender for the 2025-26 season, on a six-year contract. The club has also seen outgoings with Marc Cucurella joining Real Madrid and Tyrique George moving to Everton.
Additionally, Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of selling midfielder Andrey Santos to Manchester United for a similar fee of around €58 million (£50m). The club is also targeting reinforcements at centre-back and left-back, with Crystal Palace’s Maxence Lacroix and Rayo Vallecano’s Pep Chavarria identified as potential targets.
