Turkish Süper Lig side Corum FK have emerged as potential suitors for FC Metz midfielder Alpha Touré, according to L’Équipe. The move comes after a proposed transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al-Diraiyah stalled due to a failure to agree personal terms, despite Metz accepting a €7 million offer.
Touré, a 20-year-old Senegal international, has been a key figure for Metz since breaking into the first team. He signed a contract with the club extending through June 2028, but Metz’s relegation to Ligue 2 has prompted the club to consider significant player sales to balance their finances. The club has a recent history of relying on substantial transfer fees from players like Camara and Sabaly to maintain financial stability.
Corum FK, recently promoted to the Turkish top flight, are reportedly aiming to strengthen their squad with ambitious signings, backed by considerable financial resources. The club recently offered a significant salary to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, currently at Marseille, demonstrating their intent. No formal offer has yet been submitted to Metz for Touré, but L’Équipe reports that a bid is expected imminently.
Metz have already secured a €10 million transfer (plus €3 million in bonuses) for Sadibou Sané to Monaco this summer, and the sale of Touré is seen as crucial to their financial recovery. The potential departure of Gauthier Hein is also being considered, although his transfer fee is not expected to reach the levels of Sané or Touré. The addition of Touré would provide Corum FK with a dynamic midfield presence as they look to establish themselves in the Süper Lig.
