Fenerbahce have officially dismissed reports linking them with moves for Stuttgart forward Ermedin Demirovic and AC Milan winger Rafael Leao, the Turkish club confirmed in a statement on Tuesday. The club labelled recent media speculation as “completely unfounded” and moved to clarify their position on both players.
Reports had suggested Fenerbahce were pursuing Demirovic, but the club stated definitively that they have not made any contact regarding the Bosnian international. According to the statement, claims of interest in Demirovic are entirely without basis, and no market initiatives have been undertaken to sign the 25-year-old. Demirovic enjoyed a productive season with Stuttgart, scoring 18 goals across all competitions, attracting attention from several clubs.
The club also strongly refuted rumours of a potential €100 million bid for Leao, which included both a transfer fee and wages. Fenerbahce stated that such an offer was never made, either to the player or to AC Milan. Leao has been a key player for Milan since joining from Lille in 2019, and recently signed a new contract with the Rossoneri, ending speculation about a move to other European giants.
