Genoa, under new manager Daniele De Rossi, are in advanced talks to sign Lorenzo Lucca on loan from Napoli, according to reports in Italy. The move would see the 2000-born striker join the Ligurian club as they bolster their attacking options ahead of the new Serie A season.
Lucca returned to Napoli following a disappointing spell at Nottingham Forest where he struggled for consistent playing time. Genoa are also considering other forward options, but Lucca represents a potentially impactful addition to De Rossi’s squad. Bologna are also reportedly interested in the player, creating a potential competition for his signature.
The Grifone are also set to secure Tommaso Baldanzi on a permanent deal from Roma, completing a loan move with an obligation to buy for a total of €9.5 million. This signifies a key piece in De Rossi’s plans for the midfield. Genoa are also evaluating potential departures, with Martin potentially leaving due to a contract impasse.
Elsewhere in Serie A, Roma are poised to extend Gianluca Mancini’s contract until 2029, with an option for a further year, and a salary increase to €3.5 million net per season plus bonuses. However, Evan N’Dicka could be sold if a bid of €40 million arrives, with interest from Tottenham, Bournemouth, and Barcelona. Manu Koné is also attracting attention from Arsenal, who may make a formal offer.
Atalanta are continuing to pursue Milan’s Jashari and Parma’s Keita, while Ederson’s move to Manchester United is nearing completion, with the player set to sign a five-year contract worth €5 million annually. Udinese are in talks with Galatasaray regarding a permanent deal for Zaniolo and are also interested in defender Nelsson. The potential moves highlight a busy transfer window for several Serie A clubs as they prepare for the upcoming season.
