Liverpool have registered their interest in signing Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure, according to sources at TEAMtalk. The Merseyside club face competition from Manchester United, as well as several other Premier League sides, for the 20-year-old Ivorian international.
Toure joined Hoffenheim from Hammarby in February 2025 and has quickly established himself as a key player in the Bundesliga. In 30 league appearances this season, the left-winger has scored five goals and provided 12 assists, demonstrating his pace, crossing ability, and work rate.
Hoffenheim are anticipating offers for Toure this summer, particularly as they missed out on Champions League qualification. While the club are willing to consider a sale, they are expected to demand a fee between €30-40 million, potentially rising above their record sale of Joelinton to Newcastle, including any performance-based add-ons. Toure’s contract with Hoffenheim runs until 2029 and does not include a release clause, strengthening the club’s negotiating position.
Liverpool view Toure as a potential long-term option to bolster their attacking options, having formally informed Hoffenheim of their interest. Manchester United are also strongly interested, though he is not currently a priority target for the Red Devils. Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Brighton have also expressed concrete interest, while Arsenal and Bayern Munich have been previously linked, though the latter’s interest has cooled.
Toure’s impressive performances have significantly increased his profile, and a move to the Premier League is considered the most likely outcome. His athleticism and creativity would suit the demands of English football, and his representatives are working to secure a suitable transfer. A potential bidding war could drive up his price, representing a substantial profit for Hoffenheim and offering a promising addition for the acquiring club. Liverpool are also reportedly exploring other winger options, including a player at RB Leipzig, after a move for Yan Diomande stalled.
