The Frenchman came through the youth ranks at AC Ajaccio before moving to Switzerland, and his performances have attracted attention from clubs in Europe’s top five leagues. Schalke 04, recently promoted to the Bundesliga, are reportedly among those considering an approach.
Schalke 04 have shown a recent preference for players with experience in French football, having previously signed players such as Ibrahima Sylla, Marius Lasme, and Adil Aouchiche. Aouchiche, like Cimignani, is part of the 2002 generation and has represented France at youth levels.
