However, Wenham believes that publicly expressing interest in Gakpo is a tactic to potentially lower the price City are demanding for Savinho. Cody Gakpo joined Liverpool in January 2023 from PSV Eindhoven, and while he has shown flashes of potential, his future at Anfield is now uncertain.
