Enzo Bardeli has completed a move to Spanish Segunda División side Levante upon the expiration of his contract with Dunkerque, the French club confirmed on Thursday. The 25-year-old midfielder will reunite with former manager Luis Castro at the Estadio Ciutat de València. Castro was instrumental in Bardeli’s development during a nearly two-season spell together at Dunkerque.
This transfer marks Bardeli’s first experience playing outside of France. He signed his first professional contract with Dunkerque after progressing through the youth academy at Lille. Bardeli quickly became a key figure for the Ligue 2 outfit, making a total of 152 appearances since arriving in 2021. During his time with Dunkerque, he scored 21 goals and provided 19 assists.
This past season, Bardeli featured in 36 matches across all competitions, netting 10 goals. His consistent performances were crucial as Dunkerque secured their survival in Ligue 2. According to L’Équipe, the move was first reported at the end of May, with the player now officially joining Levante as a free agent.
Levante will be hoping Bardeli can replicate his form in La Liga, providing creativity and goals from midfield. The club recently secured their place in the league for another season, and the addition of Bardeli represents a strategic move to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign. The reunion with Castro could prove pivotal in Bardeli’s adaptation to a new league and country.
