Everton, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are all pursuing Dario Osorio from Midtjylland, according to FootballTransfers. The 22-year-old Chilean has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs following a strong season in Denmark, with Arsenal and Liverpool also previously scouting the player.
Clubs have contacted Midtjylland to ascertain the conditions required for a potential summer transfer. Osorio has been a key figure in a talented Midtjylland side that reached the Europa League last 16, losing to Nottingham Forest on penalties. While there is also Premier League interest in teammates Fraculino and Aral Simir, Osorio is the first to spark concrete moves from English sides.
Midtjylland have already rejected offers exceeding €20 million for Osorio, whose Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is currently €11.4 million. The Danish club may seek a Danish record fee, surpassing the €25 million Molenbeek paid for Ernest Nuamah in 2023.
Osorio’s versatility is a major asset, having frequently been deployed as a right wing-back in a 3-4-3 formation by Midtjylland this season. Data analytics firm SciSports have rated him as the best full-back or wing-back statistically in Danish football this campaign, highlighting his elite crossing, dribbling, finishing, and positioning, as well as his defensive contributions.
Crystal Palace appear to be the most natural fit for Osorio, given their typical use of a 3-4-3 system, although the departure of Oliver Glasner introduces some uncertainty. He would be a potential replacement for Daniel Munoz, who has also been linked with larger clubs. Palace previously signed Alexander Sorloth from Midtjylland in 2018 for €16 million, their largest ever sale. Everton and Bournemouth could also benefit from Osorio’s arrival, with both clubs potentially reshaping their right side this summer. Everton are losing Seamus Coleman at the end of the season, while Bournemouth are searching for a new manager following Andoni Iraola’s departure. Osorio could provide a more attacking option at right-back for both clubs, or a wing option for Everton should Iliman Ndiaye depart.
