Everton are leading the pursuit of West Ham United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka and remain in advanced talks to sign Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney, according to reports. A source cited by West Ham news outlet ExWHUEmployee claims Everton are currently the most advanced club in the race for his signature.
West Ham are reportedly seeking a fee in the region of £15million to £20million for Wan-Bissaka. Everton are also said to be monitoring West Ham left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf, who is also attracting interest from Manchester United.
The move for Wan-Bissaka addresses a clear need within the Everton squad. Seamus Coleman has departed, and the future of Nathan Patterson remains uncertain, potentially opening the door for the former Manchester United defender to establish himself as a key player. The arrival of Wan-Bissaka could also allow Jake O’Brien to revert to his preferred centre-back position, strengthening Everton’s defensive options.
