Karl Etta Eyong is reportedly prioritizing a transfer to the Premier League this summer, despite interest from clubs across Europe, according to transfer reporter Ben Jacobs. The Cameroon international, currently at Levante, has attracted attention from several English top-flight sides, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea, with scouts monitoring his performances throughout the 2025-26 season.
Eyong joined Levante from Villarreal in September and enjoyed a productive campaign, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 33 La Liga matches. He previously turned down a move to CSKA Moscow in January, with a transfer fee already agreed between the clubs, indicating a clear preference for certain destinations. Jacobs reported via X that two Premier League clubs have now made approaches to Levante for the 22-year-old, with interest also coming from Turkey.
Levante are seeking a fee of €30 million or more for Eyong, a figure they reportedly accepted from CSKA Moscow earlier this year. The player’s decision to reject the Russian club highlights his ambition to play in a more competitive league, and the Premier League appears to be his preferred option. Manchester United’s interest has resurfaced amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Joshua Zirkzee.
Zirkzee only made five league starts for United last season and is widely expected to return to Serie A this summer, with several Italian clubs reportedly interested in securing his services. Should Zirkzee depart, United will need to find a suitable back-up option to Benjamin Sesko, and Eyong could be considered, with a deal potentially achievable for around €30 million. United have already secured the signing of Ederson from Atalanta and are actively pursuing further additions, including a left-back and another forward, before the transfer window closes on September 1st.
