Paris Saint-Germain will receive €2.5 million from FIFA as part of the Club Benefits Programme following the release of their players for the 2026 World Cup, according to a report from Deutsche Kreditbank. This figure represents the second-highest total payout to a single club, trailing only Manchester City with €3.1 million, and surpassing Arsenal’s €2.4 million.
The FIFA initiative allocates €4,300 per day to clubs for each player involved in the tournament between June 1st and July 19th, 2026, calculated on an exchange rate of $1 to €0.86. The total fund available for distribution is €305.3 million, with payments distributed proportionally to clubs that have employed the player during the preceding two seasons.
Ligue 1 as a whole is set to benefit significantly, receiving a total of €11.8 million, placing it fourth among European leagues behind the Premier League, Bundesliga, and La Liga, but ahead of Serie A. This demonstrates the growing international representation within the French top flight.
Beyond PSG, Lille is expected to receive €1.2 million due to having eight players participate in the tournament. Monaco will collect €960,000 for six representatives, while Rennes (€930,000), Strasbourg (€910,000), Nice (€890,000), and Marseille (€880,000) will also receive substantial payments. The program aims to compensate clubs for the disruption caused by releasing players for international duty, acknowledging their contribution to player development.
This financial boost comes at a time of continued investment and ambition for PSG, who recently secured a financial windfall following their Champions League victory. The funds will likely be reinvested into the squad, potentially aiding future transfer pursuits.
