The five confirmed arrivals include defenders Radu Dragusin and Yerry Mina, right-back Fabiano Parisi Jimenez, and midfielders Marco Atta and Ivorian player Oulai. These additions complement existing midfield options such as Fabio Fagioli, alongside established players Ndour and Mandragora, who remain highly regarded by Grosso. The manager is currently experimenting with formations and player roles, notably trialling Oulai as a holding midfielder in the first half of a recent friendly against QPR, and Fagioli in the second, though Grosso reportedly views the Ivorian as more suited to a wider midfield position.
According to reports, Grosso utilized all of his new signings in the starting lineup during the friendly against QPR, allowing him to assess their capabilities firsthand. The change in personnel reflects a broader shift in tactical approach from the previous season. The club is also considering potential departures, with forward Moise Kean potentially leaving if a bid of €40 million arrives, and Luca Piccoli remaining on the market.
Fiorentina are still seeking a left-back, with Real Madrid’s Valdepenas identified as a potential target. Currently, Brescianini is filling that role. Negotiations with Juventus for Joao Mario are progressing, with an agreement reportedly in place for a loan deal with an option to buy.
