Fulham are currently the frontrunners to sign Brooke Norton-Cuffy from Serie A side Bologna, with Everton and Brentford also monitoring the 22-year-old right-back, according to TEAMtalk. Representatives for Norton-Cuffy are actively seeking a return to the Premier League for their client this summer, and Bologna are reportedly open to offers.
Norton-Cuffy progressed through the Arsenal academy before gaining valuable experience on loan at Coventry City. He moved to Bologna to further his development in a different tactical environment, showcasing his pace, crossing ability, and attacking intent from the right flank. The England Under-21 international has become a target for multiple clubs seeking to strengthen their defensive options.
Fulham are reportedly particularly keen on Norton-Cuffy, viewing him as a long-term prospect to provide competition for current right-backs Kenny Tete and Timothy Castagne. The club is looking to add a younger option to their squad in that position. Everton also expressed interest in January and remain in the market for a new right-back, though they are also considering other targets, including Manchester City’s Rico Lewis.
Brentford are also exploring options to add depth to their full-back or wing-back positions, having recently secured a new contract for Michael Kayode. However, Fulham’s sustained interest and the player’s desire to return to England currently position them as the leading contenders. Bologna could be persuaded to sell for a fee in the region of £17 million, as reported by Graeme Bailey.
A move back to the Premier League would provide Norton-Cuffy with the opportunity to compete at a high level in his home country and continue his development under experienced management. While no official bids have been submitted yet, they are anticipated as the transfer window progresses. The player’s camp is actively pushing for a deal to materialise before the window closes.
