Genoa secured a 2-1 victory over Trento in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, marking a positive start to their training camp in Moena.
The match saw Trento take the lead through new signing Juan Ignacio Molina before a second-half reshuffle by Genoa manager Daniele De Rossi proved pivotal.
Lorenzo Colombo equalized for Genoa in the 66th minute, converting a penalty he himself had earned. Shortly after, in the 75th minute, David Puczka scored the winning goal with a well-taken free-kick.
Puczka, who recently joined Genoa this summer from Juventus, demonstrated an impressive performance, leading to the manager entrusting him with all set-piece duties for the remainder of the match.

De Rossi took charge of Genoa in October 2023, tasked with steering the club away from relegation. He successfully achieved this, securing Serie A survival for the Rossoblù. This pre-season victory offers an encouraging sign as Genoa prepares for the upcoming season, aiming to build upon last season’s positive turnaround.
