Hamburger SV have confirmed a series of transfers ahead of the 2026/27 season, with forward Robert Glatzel completing a move to VfL Wolfsburg. The club announced the departures and arrivals in a comprehensive list published on their website on Monday morning.
Glatzel’s transfer marks a significant change for the Bundesliga side, as the 29-year-old striker has been a key figure for HSV since joining in 2021, scoring 54 goals in 131 appearances. According to reports, Wolfsburg were keen to bolster their attacking options, and Glatzel’s proven goalscoring record made him an attractive target. The fee for the transfer was not disclosed.
Alongside Glatzel’s departure, Ransford Königsdörffer has also moved on, joining Mainz 05 on a permanent deal. Several players have departed on loan, including Hannes Hermann to Jahn Regensburg, Noah Katterbach to Eintracht Braunschweig, and Aboubaka Soumahoro to RCD Mallorca. Luka Vuskovic and Fabio Vieira have seen their loan spells with HSV conclude, returning to their parent clubs, Tottenham Hotspur and FC Arsenal respectively.
HSV have also welcomed several new faces to the squad. Kofi Amoako arrives from Dynamo Dresden, while Albert Groenbaek joins from Stade Rennes and Martin Adeline from ESTAC Troyes. Immanuel Pherai and Emir Sahiti have both returned to Hamburg following loan spells with SV Elversberg and Maccabi Tel Aviv respectively. Most notably, Patson Daka has signed from Leicester City, adding further attacking depth to the team. Lukasz Poreba has also made his move from loan to a permanent deal with Elversberg.
The influx of new players suggests HSV are aiming to strengthen their squad for a renewed push in the Bundesliga. The club will be hoping the new signings can fill the void left by Glatzel and Königsdörffer and contribute to a successful campaign.
