Arijon Ibrahimović is attracting significant interest from a number of clubs across Europe, with Bayern Munich set to decide the 20-year-old’s future this summer. According to sources at Transfermarkt.com, the attacker could leave the Bavarian club permanently, depending on their plans for the upcoming season.
Ibrahimović spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Heidenheim, making 30 appearances in all competitions and scoring four goals. However, with Heidenheim’s relegation to the 2.Bundesliga, a return to the club is not an option for the young player. The situation leaves Bayern with three potential paths: integration into their first-team squad, another loan spell, or a permanent sale.
Several Bundesliga clubs are monitoring Ibrahimović’s situation. Werder Bremen and FC Augsburg have both expressed interest, alongside European representatives VfB Stuttgart and TSG Hoffenheim. All four clubs could offer Ibrahimović regular first-team football, something he may not immediately receive at Bayern, who boast a wealth of attacking options.
The interest extends beyond Germany, with Premier League clubs Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Brighton & Hove Albion all reportedly in the running. Further afield, Dutch side PSV Eindhoven have also registered their interest in the player. This broad range of suitors suggests Ibrahimović is highly regarded across several leagues.
Ibrahimović is understood to be seeking a club that prioritises an attacking style of play, with a focus on possession-based football and dominating opponents. This preference could influence his decision, should he be granted a choice in his next destination. Bayern’s decision will likely hinge on their assessment of Ibrahimović’s potential and their overall squad planning for the 2024-25 season. A sale would provide the club with a transfer fee, while integration into the squad would signal a belief in his long-term prospects.
