Manchester City have registered their interest in Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro by contacting his representatives, according to journalist Gianluigi Longari. The Cityzens previously had Porro on their books between 2019 and 2022, though he did not make a senior appearance for the club during his time there, spending periods on loan at Real Valladolid and Sporting CP.
Atletico Madrid have also reportedly expressed interest in the 26-year-old Spain international, with Tottenham valuing him at approximately £60 million. However, despite the attention from both clubs, Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham have no intention of selling Porro this summer.
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi views Porro as a key component of his squad and is keen for him to remain at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Romano stated on his YouTube channel that the club are “closing doors” on any potential offers for the defender.
Porro has become a vital player for Spurs since joining the club, contributing 13 goals and 26 assists in 152 appearances. He is currently under contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2028, further solidifying the club’s position in negotiations. The recent interest from City and Atletico highlights Porro’s growing reputation as one of the Premier League’s top right-backs, but it appears he will be remaining in North London for the foreseeable future.
