Ivan Juric is set to become the new manager of Monza after reaching an agreement to terminate his contract with Atalanta, which had been valid until 2027. According to reports from Italy, Juric is expected to sign a two-year contract with Monza, with an option for a third year, by Wednesday. The club has also appointed Luciano Vulcano as the coach of their Primavera youth team, following his experience at Sunderland and as a technical collaborator to Stefano Pioli at Milan.
Monza are reportedly targeting Claudio Echeverri, a promising playmaker currently at Manchester City, and Francesco Acerbi, a defender whose contract with Inter is expiring. Acerbi is also attracting interest from Genoa and Al Hilal.
Elsewhere in Lombardy, Como are experiencing a busy transfer window, poised to secure the signings of Luis Milla from Getafe for a fee of 6 million euros, Kaiki from Cruzeiro for 15 million euros, and Yan Couto on loan. A meeting is scheduled between Atalanta and Cagliari to discuss the transfer of midfielder Gianluca Gaetano to the latter, potentially for around 15 million euros. Como are also nearing an agreement with Nicolò Savona from Nottingham Forest, offering him a five-year contract.
Roma are working to renew contracts for key players Zeki Celik, who is expected to sign a three-year deal, and Lorenzo Pellegrini, who is set to extend his stay until 2029. Negotiations continue with Paulo Dybala, with optimism for a new agreement until 2028 worth 2.5 million euros per season plus bonuses. Roma are also preparing a 50 million euro bid for Marseille forward Mason Greenwood, who has already agreed to a five-year contract with the Italian club.
