Juventus’ attempts to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain have hit a roadblock, with the clubs remaining apart on a transfer fee. According to reports from Tuttosport, Juventus launched a new bid for the forward, but it fell short of the €40 million valuation PSG has indicated would open negotiations.
The Bianconeri’s offer reportedly reached slightly below that figure, including bonus clauses that were deemed unsatisfactory by the French club, particularly due to concerns over their guaranteed nature given Juventus’ recent financial performance. PSG believe that interest in Kolo Muani could increase rapidly, with clubs from the Premier League – including a renewed approach from Tottenham Hotspur – and the Bundesliga expressing interest.
Kolo Muani is reportedly keen on a return to the Bundesliga, where he previously enjoyed a successful spell with Eintracht Frankfurt, viewing it as a league that would offer a less demanding environment than either the Premier League or Serie A. The forward is still said to be motivated by a desire to return to Juventus, where he spent eight months and felt central to the project, maintaining strong relationships with his former teammates.
Personal terms between Kolo Muani and Juventus are not considered an obstacle, with the player having previously agreed to a contract worth €5 million per year until 2031. The primary issue remains a financial impasse between the two clubs, with Juventus’ current financial situation limiting their ability to increase their offer. Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali has been attempting to negotiate with PSG’s Luis Campos, but progress has been limited, and the club is managing expectations.
