Juventus are nearing an agreement with Kolo Muani, offering the French forward a five-year contract worth €5 million per year plus bonuses, according to reports in Italy. The deal is progressing well after Muani reportedly informed Paris Saint-Germain that he only wishes to join Juventus.
Negotiations between Juventus and PSG are ongoing, with the French club currently valuing Muani at €40 million and pushing for an immediate permanent transfer. Juventus have offered €35 million and are proposing a loan with an obligation to buy, contingent on certain performance-related objectives. Despite complications last summer, optimism is high that a deal will be reached, largely due to improved relations between Juventus’s Giovanni Carnevali and PSG’s new sporting director.
Elsewhere in Italy, Roma are reportedly considering selling goalkeeper Mile Svilar to raise funds before the June 30th deadline. The club needs to generate €50 million in profit from player sales and may be forced to part ways with one of their key players, including Svilar, Pisilli, Soulé, N’Dicka, Koné, and Wesley. Roma have authorized agents to seek potential buyers, but a final decision has not yet been made.
Juventus are monitoring the situation with Svilar, viewing him as a potential option in goal. However, they are also considering other targets, including Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martínez, who will turn 34 in September, and Guglielmo Vicario, who would likely cost around €20 million. An intriguing element is that Svilar shares the same agent, Gustavo Goni, as Martínez, potentially facilitating a deal. Should Svilar become available, Roma may turn their attention to Vicario as a replacement. The potential movement of Svilar could depend on how quickly Juventus can finalize a deal for either Martínez or Vicario.
The value of Svilar is estimated to be between €35 and €40 million. The situation remains fluid, with the market ultimately dictating which players Roma will be willing to sell.
