Juventus are considering a move for Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth as they seek a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic, who recently departed the club. The potential transfer was discussed by former Juventus forward Fabio Quagliarella following a charity match in Frosinone.
Quagliarella expressed surprise at Vlahovic’s departure, stating he had not anticipated the Serbian striker leaving and acknowledged that finding a suitable replacement will be a challenging task for the Turin club. He believes Juventus will face a difficult transfer window as they search for a forward capable of performing at the highest level.
Kolo Muani, previously at Juventus, has been linked with a return, but Quagliarella suggests he alone is not sufficient. While acknowledging Muani’s qualities – his ability to play across the forward line and not being a traditional number nine – Quagliarella emphasized the need for additional attacking reinforcements. He highlighted Sorloth as a “very interesting” option, praising his international experience and potential contribution to the team.
Quagliarella also touched upon the importance of stability in the Juventus dugout, praising the club’s decision to retain Massimiliano Spalletti as manager. He believes Spalletti is the right man to build a new cycle of success at the club, citing a lack of continuity in previous managerial appointments as a key factor in their recent struggles. He expressed confidence that Spalletti can deliver significant improvements for the Bianconeri.
