Juventus are considering a move for Real Madrid’s 16-year-old forward Franco Mastantuono, according to reports in Italy. The Argentinian, who also holds Italian citizenship, has been offered to several clubs as Real Madrid are open to loaning the player out.
Mastantuono joined Real Madrid from River Plate in 2023, but has struggled for consistent playing time with the Spanish giants. Prior to his move to the Bernabeu, he demonstrated goal-scoring ability, netting three goals in ten Apertura appearances, also providing three assists. He added a single goal in Liga action last season.
Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has reportedly given the green light for Mastantuono to depart on loan, believing the youngster needs regular first-team football to continue his development. While Mourinho is keen to retain Brahim Diaz, he is more flexible regarding Mastantuono’s future. The club are not currently considering a permanent sale with a buyback clause.
Juventus are evaluating Mastantuono as a potential solution to their need for a creative attacking player. The club are looking to add a dynamic presence in the number ten role, capable of both providing assists and contributing goals. Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici is reportedly involved in the discussions, having previously worked at Real Madrid. Fiorentina have also expressed interest, having recently enquired about Pellegrino, another Real Madrid player.
