Juventus are prepared to sell defender Bremer if they receive a suitable offer, according to reports in Italy. The club is also considering multiple defensive reinforcements, potentially leading to a significant overhaul of their backline ahead of the upcoming season.
Recent arrival of Lucas Lucumì from Bologna does not preclude the potential signing of Dion Dummeks Muharemovic, though the technical aspects of both deals are still being finalized. Both Lucumì and Muharemovic are left-footed, adding to a growing number of left-sided defenders already at the club, including Kelly and Cabal. Cabal is expected to be the first player moved on, with several Spanish and Italian clubs expressing interest.
The arrival of two left-footed centre-backs could open the door for Kelly’s departure, despite coach Luciano Spalletti previously considering him a key player. English Premier League side Bournemouth has reportedly enquired about Kelly, along with other Serie A players like N’Dicka and the aforementioned Lucumì and Muharemovic. Juventus are not entirely resistant to selling Kelly, given his high cost – approximately €10 million annually in wages and amortization.
Bremer, while currently reluctant to leave, is also a potential departure. Both Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich have expressed interest in the Brazilian centre-back, and Juventus are open to considering offers. The club are also assessing options for Federico Gatti, who is seeking more playing time and may be open to a move. Juventus are willing to wait for offers for Gatti, and a return for Daniele Rugani, currently returning from a loan spell at Fiorentina, is also being considered as a potential option.
The restructuring of the Juventus defense comes as they aim to balance their books and prepare for a season under Spalletti. The sale of midfielder Miretti to Bologna is expected to generate a necessary capital gain by June 30th, aiding in the financial adjustments. These moves suggest a shift in defensive strategy and a willingness to reshape the squad based on tactical needs and financial considerations.
