Juventus are aiming to generate a minimum of €13 million in profit through player sales before June 30th, driven by both financial requirements and the need to reduce their oversized squad according to reports from Tuttosport. The club will begin the new season with 29 players available to manager Luciano Spalletti, a number the new management under Carnevali intends to reduce by approximately a third.
The departures of Dusan Vlahovic and Filip Kostic at the end of their contracts will alleviate some financial pressure, but the return of loanees and players not subject to permanent transfers has swelled the squad to its current size. Juventus are differentiating between players they are willing to sell if a suitable offer arrives and those considered outright surplus to requirements.
Lois Openda is identified as a key player the club are looking to move on, though a contractual obligation prevents them from accepting a loss on the €45 million they originally paid for him. Despite a disappointing season with Juventus, which led to his exclusion from the Belgium squad for the World Cup, Openda has attracted interest from several clubs abroad. Eintracht Frankfurt, where he previously played, Lens in France, and Premier League sides Leeds, Nottingham Forest, and Everton have all reportedly expressed interest.
Juventus are seeking a loan deal with an obligation to buy, with conditions that are easily met, to facilitate Openda’s departure. Other players potentially leaving the club include Arek Milik, Edon Zhegrova, Nico Gonzalez, Douglas Luiz, Arthur Melo, and potentially even Hans Nicolussi Caviglia. The club are also open to offers for Bremer, though a release clause of €58 million will become active in July. While some players like Kalulu are considered undroppable, a significant overhaul of the squad is anticipated this summer.
