Juventus are in advanced talks to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, with the potential for Dusan Vlahovic to move in the opposite direction, according to reports in Italy. The Turin club are prepared to pay over €30 million for the French forward, hoping to inject new life into their attack and provide a spark under manager Massimiliano Allegri.
Negotiations with PSG are proving complex, as the French champions are reluctant to accept anything less than their valuation of Muani, primarily to avoid registering a loss on the transfer. Last summer, PSG engaged in a protracted negotiation with Eintracht Frankfurt for Muani before ultimately securing his signature, and they are keen to avoid a similar situation. They previously settled for Openda as an alternative when a deal with Frankfurt stalled.
Alongside the pursuit of Muani, Juventus are also exploring options to strengthen their forward line further. Discussions have taken place with Atletico Madrid regarding Nico Gonzalez, while Alexander Sorloth has been proposed by his representatives. The club are also monitoring potential loan deals, with Chelsea’s Nico Jackson a possibility following his return from Bayern Munich. Other names mentioned include Jean-Philippe Mateta and Gonzalo Garcia, though the latter’s availability depends on changes within Real Madrid’s management.
Kolo Muani’s potential arrival could signal a shift in Juventus’s attacking strategy. The 25-year-old enjoyed a productive spell at Eintracht Frankfurt before joining PSG, demonstrating his ability to score and create chances. Vlahovic, who arrived at Juventus in January 2022, has shown flashes of brilliance but has struggled for consistent form. The club is reportedly open to offers for the Serbian international to free up funds and create space in the squad. Juventus are also considering a move for Retegui, though this is contingent on the player forcing a departure from Al-Qadisiya.
The club is attempting to balance financial constraints with the need for squad improvements, exploring both permanent signings and loan deals. This transfer window is seen as crucial for Juventus as they attempt to rebuild following a disappointing previous season. Securing Muani would be a significant step in that process, providing Allegri with a dynamic attacking option.
