Juventus are on the verge of re-signing Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, with an agreement reportedly close to being finalized. The transfer, accelerated by the appointment of Giovanni Carnevali to a leadership role at Juventus, is expected to be completed before the team’s pre-season training camp begins on July 13th.
Kolo Muani previously spent a loan spell with Juventus, making a significant impact during his time in Turin with goals and a strong work rate. His performances earned him the admiration of teammates and fans alike. The move aligns with new Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti’s tactical plans, where Kolo Muani is seen as a versatile attacking option capable of playing multiple roles, including as a deep-lying forward or a central striker.
According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain have softened their stance after previously blocking a move last summer. Carnevali’s diplomatic approach has been instrumental in bridging the gap between the two clubs. The deal is expected to be structured as a loan with an obligation to buy, with a market value estimated around €30 million. Negotiations are ongoing to finalize the details of the obligation to buy clause.
Kolo Muani is reportedly eager to return to Juventus, believing that Spalletti can help him reach his full potential. He is familiar with Italian football and the tactical demands of the league, having already integrated well during his previous stint. Spalletti views Kolo Muani as a key component of his attacking lineup, and the club is aiming to complete the signing to provide the manager with a nearly complete forward line. Juventus are still seeking a third central striker to complete Spalletti’s desired attacking options for what is expected to be a challenging season.
