Juventus striker Arkadiusz Milik has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to injury, according to reports from Italy. The Polish international, along with defender Carlos Cábal, will not feature again for the Bianconeri in the current campaign. The news was reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, which stated that the club's medical situation has largely cleared except for these two long-term absentees.
Milik's season concludes having made 31 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals. The 30-year-old has served as a frequent deputy to star forward Dušan Vlahović, contributing in both Serie A and the Coppa Italia. His absence narrows manager Massimiliano Allegri's attacking options for the final weeks of the season, with the club still competing for a Champions League place and a Coppa Italia final against Atalanta looming.
The injury presents a complicating factor in Milik's future at the club. Juventus holds an obligation to buy the striker from Olympique Marseille for a reported fee of €7 million, plus €3 million in add-ons, a clause that is triggered upon certain conditions being met this season. With his campaign now cut short, the specifics of how this injury impacts the permanent transfer remain unclear, potentially requiring further negotiation between the clubs.
For Juventus, the focus shifts to managing the remaining fit forwards, with Vlahović and Moise Kean expected to carry the load. The club's other attacking option, Federico Chiesa, has also recently returned from his own injury concerns. Milik's setback is the latest in a season marked by fitness issues for the Bianconeri, though the squad's overall health is reportedly improving, with only Khephren Thuram also currently managing a minor issue separately from the group.
The timing is particularly unfortunate for Milik, who had been hoping to cement his place ahead of Poland's European Championship campaign this summer. His season-ending injury now casts doubt on his availability for the national team, with manager Michał Probierz likely to assess his condition closer to the tournament.
